How to create a Facebook Account

This guide will walk you through the steps to create a Facebook account. Having a Facebook account is helpful for connecting with other Unchained Leader members inside our private community group. If you're new to Facebook or haven't set one up yet, this will show you how to do it from scratch on your mobile device or desktop.

Before You Begin

Make sure you have the following ready:

• A mobile phone or computer with internet access
  
  

• A valid email address or mobile phone number
  
  

• A secure password you'd like to use for your Facebook account
  
  

• A profile photo (optional, but helpful)
  
  

Step 1: Open the Facebook App or Visit Facebook.com

• On mobile: Go to your App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android)
  
  

• Search for Facebook
  
  

• Tap Download or Get, then open the app
  
  

• On desktop: Visit www.facebook.com
  
  

Step 2: Tap “Create New Facebook Account” or “Sign Up”

• On mobile: Tap Create New Facebook Account, then Next
  
  

• On desktop: Click Create New Account
  
  

Step 3: Enter Your Name

• Enter your first name and last name
  
  

• Tap or click Next
  
  

Step 4: Enter Your Birthdate

• Choose your month, day, and year of birth
  
  

• Tap or click Next
  

Step 5: Select Your Gender

• Choose Male, Female, or Custom
  
  

• Tap or click Next
  

Step 6: Enter Your Mobile Number or Email Address

• Enter your mobile number OR
  
  

• Tap Sign up with email instead and enter your email address
  
  

• Tap or click Next
  
  

Step 7: Create a Password

• Choose a strong password (at least 6 characters, mix of letters and numbers recommended)
  
  

• Tap or click Next
  
  

Step 8: Confirm Your Account

• Facebook will send a confirmation code to your phone or email
  
  

• Enter the code into the app or website
  
  

• Tap or click Confirm
  
  

Step 9: Upload a Profile Picture (Optional)

• You can upload a photo from your phone/computer
  
  

• Or tap Skip to do this later (it is always better to add a profile picture to help ensure your account gets approved)
  
  

Step 10: You're All Set!

• Your account is now active
  
  

• You can begin adding friends, joining groups, and personalizing your profile
