How To - Download Google Docs, Drive, and Sheets Apps On a Phone or Mobile Device

If you’re having trouble with google drive or the module lessons assignments, and you’re using a smart phone or other mobile device, then simply follow the instructions in this document.

These step by step instructions are for anyone using a phone, iPad, Android device, or tablet. This guide will show you how to download the right apps, login to your google drive account, how to create a folder in google drive and help you organize your daily lesson documents.

Before You Begin

  • Make sure your mobile device is connected to the internet and that you know your Google account email and password
  • If you don’t have a Google account yet, you’ll need to create one before continuing. (There is a separate guide for this, if needed, go look for it inside of your members login page, under the “resources” section Click Here.)

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open your App Store or Google Play Store

Go to the App Store if you’re on an iPhone or iPad.
 Go to the
Google Play Store if you’re on an Android phone or tablet.

Step 2: Download Google Drive

  • In the search bar, type in Google Drive

  • Tap Download or Install

Step 3: Download Google Sheets

  • Go back to your search bar

  • Type in Google Sheets

  • Tap Download or Install

Step 4: Download Google Docs

  • Go back to your search bar

  • Type in Google Docs

  • Tap Download or Install

Step 5: Sign in to Google Drive

  • Open the Google Drive app

  • If you are already signed in, your account will load automatically

  • If not, it will ask you to type in your email and password

  • Sign in with your Google account information

Step 6: Sign in to Google Sheets

  • Open the Google Sheets app

  • It will ask you to sign in

  • Tap Continue with the same Google account you used in Drive

Step 7: Sign in to Google Docs

  • Open the Google Docs app

  • Sign in using the same Google account

Step 8: Open Google Drive and get familiar with it

Google Drive is like your digital filing cabinet. This is where you’ll store all your Unchained Leader documents.

  • Open the app

  • Tap on Home or Files at the bottom to see your saved items

  • If you’re new, your file section might be empty—this is totally fine!

Step 9: Create a folder for your Unchained Leader lesson documents

  • Tap the + (plus) button in the bottom right corner
(sometimes top left, or may say “New +” depending on the device you are using)

  • Tap Folder, or Create New Folder

  • Type a title like “Unchained Leader Assignments”

  • Tap Create

Step 10: Open your new folder

  • Tap on the folder you just created

  • It will be empty for now—that’s normal

  • This is where you’ll save your lesson documents later so everything stays organized

You're all set!

You should now have:

  • Google Drive

  • Google Sheets

  • Google Docs

  • A folder ready for your assignments

These are all the “tools” you will need to complete a daily module lesson assignment on your mobile device.
