How to Complete a Daily Lesson Assignment or Action Step

This guide shows you how to complete a daily lesson assignment (sometimes called an action step, google sheet, or google Doc) in your 90 Days to Freedom module lessons with Unchained Leader.
Using a PC, computer, laptop, desktop, or other device through a web browser.
  
In this article you’ll learn how to open your daily worksheetmake a copy, and save it to your Google Drive folder so you can type and edit it later.


Before You Begin

Make sure the following steps have been completed:

  • You are using a computer that has a good stable/reliable internet connection

  • You are able to login to your Unchained Leader account:
    Using your e-mail address associated with your Unchained Leader account and
    Your password.

  • You've created a google account and know your login information

  • Also make sure you’ve already created a folder in Google Drive for your Unchained Leader documents.

Step-by-Step Instructions


Step 1: Open your Unchained Leader account


Step 2: Click the black square to return to the main menu

  • In the top left corner, click the small black square

  • This will take you to the main menu


Step 3: Go to “90 Days to Freedom”

  • Click on 90 Days to Freedom

  • Scroll down to find the lesson you're working on

  • For this example, click on Week 1, Day 1 – Trajectory


Step 4: Watch the lesson video

  • Play the video at the top of the screen

  • Mason will explain the topic and the action step for that day


Step 5: Click the assignment link under the video

  • Scroll below the video until you see a link (example: "Click here to download Cost vs. Payoff Sheet")

  • Click the link to open the Google Sheet template


Step 6: Make a copy of the template

  • The template opens in view-only mode

  • Click File in the top left

  • Then click Make a copy



Step 7: Rename your document

  • A pop-up window will appear

  • Add your name to the beginning of the file name
    Example: Tate – Week 1 Day 1 – Cost vs. Payoff

  • This helps you know it’s your personal version or "copy" of the assignment 


Step 8: Choose where to save your file

  • Click the folder icon in the pop-up to select a location

  • Choose your Unchained Leader Docs folder



  • Then click Select and hit Make a Copy




Step 9: Begin working on your copy

  • Your personal version will open in a new tab

  • You can now type directly into the cells of the sheet

  • Try typing the word “test” to confirm it's editable


Step 10: Close the original template tab

  • Look at the top of your screen for the extra tab

  • Close the original read-only version

  • Make sure you’re only working in your saved copy


Step 11: Find your saved document later

  • Open Google Drive

  • Go to your Unchained Leader Docs folder


  • You’ll see your saved assignment file there

  • Double-click to open it again and keep working


You're all set!

You’ve now learned how to:

  • Access your daily lesson

  • Open the template and copy your worksheet

  • Edit and save your personal version

  • Save and store the worksheet in your folder

  • Find your assignment later in Google Drive
